Mission Trip Training Experience for Workers with Youth, December 11-12
The Youthworker Movement and Mission Encounter have teamed up to offer a training experience for those who prepare and train youth groups for short-term mission experiences.
“There are so many incredible spiritual and life-changing things that can happen in a well-planned trip,” says Mike Shinn, Director of Mission Encounter. “We see a lot of groups excited about mission trips but they have no idea how to put a really effective trip together.”
Using a curriculum entitled, “The Next Mile: Short-term Missions for the Long Haul,” this Training of the Trainers event will promote an effective, biblically-based approach to training individuals in short-term mission leadership. Throughout the training, participants will engage in problem solving, debriefing, active learning, collaboration, inquiry and reflection. They will come away knowing exactly what to do to prepare and get a group ready to meet the challenges and joys of reaching out to people with need.
Where: Trevecca Nazarene University, Nashville, Tennessee
When: December 11–12, (Friday 7pm – Sat. 4pm)
Cost: $115 (covers training and all resources)
A Special Rate of $ 55 has been secured at Club Hotel Nashville for those participating in the event. This rate includes a full breakfast.
