The Memphis Annual Conference of the United Methodist church stretches from the Mississippi River to the Tennessee River, covering most of West Tennessee and Western Kentucky. With well over 400 churches, multiple cooperative ministries, and dedicated mission opportunities the ministry of the Memphis Conference touches the lives of thousands every year.

Local churches reach communities. Clusters of churches reach county-sized areas. Districts resource the local church and spearhead area ministries that require more resources than the local church can muster.
 
At the Conference level, clergy and laity officers oversee regional ministries, reaching out to larger issues on behalf of local churches across the mid-South.
