Golden Cross Senior Residents Fund benefiting the residents of Wesley Senior Ministries.

Miss Jones (name has been changed to protect privacy) lives in one of the Wesley Communities.  She is 82 years old and moved here to become independent as she was being taken advantage of by her only child. A Social Security check of $650 is her only income. As with many of our residents, any unexpected expense can financially cause a problem. One unexpected trip to the doctor like Miss Jones had a few months ago caused a shortfall and there was not enough money to cover her rent and food.  Because of donations to the Golden Cross Senior Residents Fund, the rent was paid and a food card was purchased at a local grocery.  Thanks to people like you, Miss Jones did not have to choose between rent, food or medicine. 

The average age of our residents is 80 and the average income is only $715 per month.  For many it is really hard to make ends meet.  Many of the residents who call a Wesley Community home have outlived their family and their financial resources.  God has called us to love our neighbors as ourselves and that is indeed what you are doing when you contribute to this ministry.

Donations...

·         are used one hundred percent (100%) to support resident needs.

·         assist with Rent, Food and Medical Emergencies as well as programs and activities that promote a well balanced life.

·         include NO conference apportionments.

·         are received from the Golden Cross Offerings, individuals, Sunday School Classes, UMW, UMM, businesses, etc

·        serves approximately 1200 elderly residents in  21 of the WSM Communities.

Wesley Senior Ministries provides housing for the elderly population of the Memphis Annual Conference and Jonesboro Arkansas.  We offer Low- income Independent Living and Assisted Living
