I'm retired from the City of Memphis Fire Department and active in my local church, Middleton United Methodist. I'm an active participant in the Angel Food Ministry at Middleton and have come to know and relate to the people of the community through the ministry.

I take my position of counting the money for our church very seriously along with my fiduciary responsibilities on the Finance Committee. I have spoken both to our teens at our latest Teen Workshop as well as our pre-schoolers at Parents' Day Out. I am actively involved in my community as the Assistant Chief of the Saulsbury Volunteer Fire Department. This requires me to be organized, but also a leader and a 'people' person who must know when to listen and when to lead.

I'm anxious to put my life experience to work in this new position.

Every District Lay Resource Leader is responsible for 12 hours per week and serve as liaisons between the Annual Conference and the District and provide networking, training opportunities, ministry resources, support and coaching for the local church.
