Dyersburg District Resources

Hello!

My name is Theresa Williams and I'm your Dyersburg District Lay Resource Leader. My email address is twilliams1275@bellsouth.net.

In March, 2007, I became a born-again Christian, then in June of '07, I completed a 30-year tenure, teaching in the Dyer County School System. Upon retirement, God has led me to many divine appointments and given me many divine connections.

I attended the Purchase Area Walk to Emmaus #91 as a pilgrim, and then PAWE #93 as a servant. My first mission trip in December 2007 was to "The Christmas House" project in Waveland, MS. I'm currently participating in the Dyer County Jail Ministry and CrossRoads Ministry in Dyersburg.

I'm a member of Center UMC in Newbern, Tenn. where I serve as witness outreach liaison and am involved in choir, drama and Disciple IV Bible study.

It is my prayer, as Dyersburg District Lay Resource Leader, that, through finding each church's strengths and weaknesses, we can find the many common threads in growing our churches. I look forward to this exciting time in today's world and today's church as long as we have our priorities in order, advancing the kingdom of God and giving Him the praise and glory, we will impact those around us who are lost, hurting and unchurched.

Every District Lay Resource Leader is responsible for 12 hours per week and serve as liaisons between the Annual Conference and the District and provide networking, training opportunities, ministry resources, support and coaching for the local church.
